DOTHAN…Linda Gail Fennell Ford, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021, at her home. She was 73.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 15, 2021, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Dothan and Headland. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday in the mortuary chapel. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mrs. Ford was born in Henry County, daughter of the late Preston Elbert Fennell and Mary LeRoy Fennell. She lived in Dothan most of her lifetime and retired as an LPN from the Southeast Alabama Medical Center after thirty years of service. Mrs. Ford attended the Eddins Road Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mitchell LeRoy, and her former husband, Paul Cook.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Bartlett Herbert (Bart) Ford, Jr.; her son, Eric Floyd (Jane); two step-daughters, Leigh Parsons (Bill); and Jane Patton (John); a step-son, Bo Ford (Gracie); a brother, Wayne Fennell (Karen); four grandchildren, Blake Floyd (Ellie), Hunter Floyd (Taylor), Jacie Jenks (Chase) and Allyson Habron (Jason); five great-grandchildren; Henlee Floyd, Lydia Floyd, Saylor Habron, Brannon Luke Floyd and Banks Habron; a special niece, Amber Hall (John); a nephew, Cody Fennell (Nicole); three great-nephews, Preston Fennell, Noah Fennell and John William Hall; three step-grandchildren, Peyton Ford, Bartley Ford and Andrew Ford; an uncle, Jim Fennell (Sara); an aunt, Sybil Phillips; a special long-life friend, Nell Pipkins (Curtis).
