Linda Lou Giles, 73, of Dothan, AL went to her heavenly home on Tuesday February 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Celebration of Life will be 2 PM, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home.
She was born and raised in Marquette, MI to Howard & Viola Johnson. She grew up loving to dance and roller skate. All her life, she had such a bubbly personality. She never met a stranger and always hugged you the first time she met you, and tried to lead you to Jesus. Her love for her family and her savior was where she devoted her time. She served the church in many different positions throughout her life. Anyone that knew Linda knew that her grandchildren & great grandchildren were her heart. Nanny was the first to make mud pies, blow bubbles, catch bugs, makes bubble baths and so many more adventures. There is no way to describe how she will be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Dennis Giles, her children, Tina (Thomas) Harper, Tammy Bruce, Edward (Angie) Hamilton, Jay Giles, Karen Quintero Coleman. Sister Carol Wiggins and Brother Allan Johnson. Grandchildren Ashley(Tyrone) Blair, Amber Wright, Allen “Toehead” (Tylyn) Wright, David Jr.(Chloe)Bruce, Jessica Bruce, Liberty Rose Hamilton, Dillon Giles, Branden Giles, Sebastian Giles, Jillian Giles, Savannah Giles, Brock Eckenrod, and Jacob Eckenrod. Great grandchildren Dominik & Vassay Blair, Ryder Doss, Chantel, Allen, & Lona Wright, Devin, Nevaeh & Lilyanna Bruce, Wyatt Bruce, Sawyer Pearl Cox, Maverick Mullin.And several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in Death by her parents Howard &Viola Johnson, and sisters Judy LeBreche and Bonnie McFarand.
The family would like to thank Home Instead and Teresa Gilley for the care you have given mother these last months. There are no words that can express how grateful we are to you and the love you have shown. God Bless you!
