LINDA KNOWLES

HEADLAND… Linda Knowles, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 2024, at her home. She was 81.

          A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. At other times, the family will be at the home of her niece, Nicole Feggins, 123 Lake Lane, Headland, Alabama. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Ms. Knowles was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Walter Sporman Knowles, Sr. and Ada Lillian Knight Knowles. She lived her entire life in the Headland, Alabama area. She was a 1961 graduate of Headland High School. She worked and retired from West Point Stevens, as a office supply checker. In earlier years she worked as a phone operator.

          Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Gayle Knowles Johns and her brother-in-law, Maxwell “Clay” Johns; her aunt and uncle, Vivian Knight Starling and James Gwynn Starling.

          Leaving to cherish her memories are her brother, Walter Sporman Knowles, Jr.; her nieces, Nicole Feggins (Charles), Jessica Melton (Reginald) and Renea Knowles; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tanner McClenny, Taylor Feggins, Kinslee Melton, Blake Feggins and Kaitlyn Knowles; her special cousin, Susan Starling Harman.
