Linda Lorene Gilmore, 62, of Midland City passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 10 am Monday, March 25, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Grigg and Pastor Hilburn Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gilmore was born December 2, 1949 in Dale County, AL and lived in Midland City most of her life. She was a homemaker and loved to do for other people and spend time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents Frank and Eva Rae Hartzog, brothers and sisters, Fred Hartzog, Tony Hartzog, Betty McSween, Mouchie Frank Hartzog, Gerald Hartzog, and Johnny Harold Hartzog.

Survivors include her sons, Stacy Neal (Dana) Senn of Hartford, AL, Jeffrey (Kathy) Gilmore of Bowling Green, FL, and Petey (Sheila) Kaperak of Midland City, AL; daughters, Tracy (Darrell) Jenkins of Midland City, AL, Frankie Gilmore of Ozark, AL, and Jennifer Gilmore (Gary Watson) Solomon of Headland, AL; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Merle Glover of Midland City, AL, and Jean (Pete) Shupert of Hortense, GA.
