Linda Lou Adkison of Glencoe, AL passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was 84. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Ministers Harry Adkison and Dallas Burdette officiating.  Burial will follow at Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society 


Mrs. Adkison was born in Westville, FL on November 25, 1939, to the late Bryant Culbert Messer and Katie Lou Williams Messer.  She was an excellent homemaker, high school tennis coach, office assistant, and served as the Alabama Amateur Softball Association District 4 Commissioner.  She was a longtime member of Green Valley Church of Christ, in Glencoe, Alabama.


She is survived by her husband, Gene Patrick Adkison; daughter, Deborah Miller; son, Greg Adkison; daughter-in-law: Karen Adkison; son-in-law, Jeffrey Miller; grandchildren,Leah Miller and Anna Miller; two sisters, Jackie Howell (Lawrence) and Betty Kelly (Bobby); two brothers, Samuel Messer (Laura) and Michael Messer (Pam); and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
