HEADLAND. . .Linda Mullins Hurst, a resident of Headland, Alabama, died Saturday morning, August 22, 2020. She was 73.


     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in the Headland United Methodist Church with Reverend Bobby Ellisor officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the family life center of the church. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed.


     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.


     Mrs. Hurst was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi and was reared in Natchez, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Natchez Adams County High School. Mrs. Hurst was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed as Office Manager for her late husband in the bank construction business. Mrs. Hurst was preceded in death by her father, Rayford Henry Mullins, her mother, Minnie Carlock Mullins, and her husband, Charles Dean Hurst.


     Surviving relatives include three daughters, Faith Ellisor (Rev. Bobby Ellisor), Navarre, FL;  Kimberly M. Taylor (Alan), Webb, AL; and Brittany Jolly (Adam), Headland; a son, Alan Estes (Mamie), Dothan; a sister, Peggy Wisner (Greg), Natchez, MS; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.


     Serving as active pallbearers will be Justin Blocker, Taylor Blocker, Matthew Ellisor, Gary Harbert, Alan Taylor and Adam Jolly.
