MIDLAND CITY. . .Linda Walters Tanyer, a resident of Midland City, died Monday, March 6, 2023, at her home. She was 71.
There are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Linda Tanyer was born at the U.S. Army Hospital at Camp Rucker, daughter of the late Quincey Washington Walters, Jr. and Elsie Merle Boothe Walters. She lived in the Dothan area most of her lifetime. Linda was retired from the Dothan City School System as a School Bus Driver. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Edwin Headley, a sister, Charlotte Mackert and a brother, Michael Wayne Walters.
Surviving relatives include her husband, John Raymond Tanyer, Sr.; two step-sons, three sisters, Gloria Allsup (Bill), Carol Landreau (Johnny), and Teresa Davis (Terry); three brothers, Rodney Walters (Saundra), Steve Walters (Gloria), and Greg Walters (Leigh).
