ARITON…Lisa Gassett Patterson, a resident of the Center Ridge Community, near Ariton, died Sunday afternoon, August 12, 2018 in a Dothan hospital She was 55.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 16, 2018 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Reverend William A. Helms and Reverend Star Crossman officiating. Burial will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Church near Ariton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2541 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
Ms. Patterson was a native and lifelong resident of the Center Ridge Community, near Ariton and attended Ariton High School. She was formerly employed by Dale Medical Center in Ozark and the Alabama Department of Public Health. Ms. Patterson was retired due to disability as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Dr. Robert J. Kreutzman in Ozark. She enjoyed fishing, playing the piano and Alabama Football. Ms. Patterson enjoyed each moment she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Holy Faith Mission in Ariton.
Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Hudson (Jeremy), West Union, South Carolina; three sons, Daniel Patterson (Courtney), Daleville, Jonah Patterson (Ashley), Cottonwood, and Joshua Patterson (Christy), Daleville; her parents, Julius and Christine Allums Gassett, Ariton; her sister, Starla Harrell (Pedro), Skipperville; grandchildren, Chris Hudson, Braxton Sheppard (Lynn), Savannah Patterson, Christopher Dorrill, Jordan Patterson, Levi Hudson, Makayla Patterson, Chase Hudson, Brennen Patterson, Grayson Patterson, Dearl Patterson, and Cherish Martin; a niece, Cera Harrell.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Travis Johnson, Harmon Starling, Robert Steele, Andy McMillian, Jeffery Lebouef, and Kevin Kenway.
