Lloyd David McCoig, a resident of Haleburg died late Monday afternoon February 22, 2016, at his home. He was 71.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the family residence in Haleburg. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
Mr. McCoig was born in Cleveland, Ohio and reared in White Pine, Tennessee, son of the late Fred Nolen McCoig and Bessie Jane Murrell McCoig. He formerly lived in Vilonia, Arkansas for forty years before moving to Haleburg in 2005. Mr. McCoig served his country in the U.S. Air Force prior to the Vietnam War. He was retired as a diesel mechanic from Arkansas Best Freight (A.B.F.) after thirty years employment.
Surviving relative include his partner, Diann Holder Head, Haleburg; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Gray, Little Rock, AR; Robert David McCoig (Carmen), Dothan; three grandchildren; special cousins, Roger Goan (Peggy) and Gina Goan, all of Headland.
