Lois Mullins Parish
Lois Mae Mullins Parish “Mama Lois”, of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Extendicare surrounded by her family and friends. She was 105.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church “Music Department”, 1231 Fortner Street, Dothan, AL, 36301, in her memory.
“Miss Lois” as she was called at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, was their oldest member and was faithful to the Ridgecrest Senior Choir before she was unable to attend.
Her husband, Gadi J. Parish, Jr., son, Jerry Mullins Parish, her mother and father, S.A. Mullins and Elizabeth McArthur, her brothers, Walter, Bluford, John, Patrick and Ross, and sisters, Pennie and Orisca preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Nell Pybus of Dothan; granddaughters, Linda Pybus Baker (David), Becki Pybus Martin (Wallace); grandsons, Cecil D. “Sonny” Pybus III (Denise), Jimmy, Gadi, Jerri Jr. and John Parish; great-grandchildren, Neil Baker (Jennifer), Shea Milner (Ben), Brandi Devore (Tom), Brooke Powell, Dustin Pybus (Aimee), Hunter Pybus and Spencer Pybus (Amanda); great-great grandchildren, Blake, Faith, Sophia, Evie, River, Haley, Hannah, John David, Andrew, Wheeler and Brennyn; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff on halls 2 and 5 at Extendicare for the kindness and love shown to our “Mama” and “Mama Lois”.
