Obituary: Lomax Hughes 

            Mr. Lomax Hughes of Enterprise went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Medical Center Enterprise. He was 80. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, September 23, 2013 at the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Tonya Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 until 7pm. Mr. Hughes was born July 31, 1933 in Enterprise to the late Andrew and Vallie Bowden Hughes. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. His wife, Glenda Childs Hughes preceded him in death. Survivors include a sister, Vivian H. Miller, Prattville, AL, a brother, Andrew H. Hughes, Jackson, Miss, several nieces and nephews.
