DOTHAN. . .Lorene Blount Fancher, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday morning, March 22, 2020, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. She was 91.
Private family graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2020, in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Panama City, Florida, with Ladair Palmer officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation “Benevolence Fund”, 212 Dothan Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Ms. Fancher was born in Geneva County, Alabama and was reared near Esto, Florida, daughter of the late Charlie Moss and Clyde Vanlandingham Moss. She lived in Panama City before moving to Dothan in 1972. Ms. Fancher was of the Assembly of God Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus J. Blount, two sons, Thomas Blount and Wayne Blount, two sisters and four brothers.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Linda Floyd (Steve), Dothan; and Robin Fancher (Donald Garrett), Headland; a daughter-in-law, Mary Blount; a brother, C. L. Moss (Nell), Phenix City, AL; seven grandchildren, Kellie Trulock (Bart), Wes Floyd (Melissa), Blount Floyd (Annie), Amber Stanley (Clint), Thomas Blount, Magen Heeder (Andrea), and Travis Mattox; ten great-grandchildren.
