Lorenzo Garcia, a resident of Slocomb passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his residence. He was 78 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Father José Paillacho officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Garcia was born on August 10, 1940 in Guatemala and moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida in 1989. He has been a resident of Dothan since 2002 where he was employed as a general laborer for various farmers in the area. He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ana Maria Garcia; his children, Marcela Garcia, Jose Lorenzo Garcia, Julio Marcelino Garcia, Marilu Garcia, Victor Lucio Garcia, and Helda Garcia-Sanchez; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maria Cristina Garcia Borjas and Maria del Rosario Garcia Borjas; brother, Santiago Garcia Borjas.
