Lorine Burnette Taylor, age 76, a beacon of grace and love, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on April 10, 1948, in Headland, Alabama, Lorine spent her life nurturing those around her with her gentle spirit and faith-filled heart. Known for her elegance and respectful demeanor, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion to her family and community.

Lorine, a woman of deep faith, was a cherished member of Patterson Street Church, where her voice often graced the choir, and her hands were always ready to support church activities. Her commitment to her faith was evident in the way she lived her life, embodying the love and teachings she so firmly believed in.

Her professional life was marked by a compassionate career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Wesley Manor, where she worked for over 20 years before retiring in 2015. Her dedication to caring for others extended beyond her professional role and into every interaction she had, making her a beloved figure both at work and in her personal life.

Lorine's interests were a reflection of her personality—sweet, well-spoken, and reserved. She was a loving and family-oriented individual, always putting her loved ones first. Her son Gerald Dozier, her daughter Kimberly Thornton, Stephanie Durham, Taressa Reed, and along with her 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and her special friend James Glenn will hold memories of her close to their hearts. The family she adored will remember her for her understanding nature and the respect she showed to everyone she met. Lorine's presence was a source of joy for her nieces and nephews, who, along with the rest of her family, will miss her deeply.

A true 'diva' in the most endearing sense, Lorine had a flair that was unmatched. She was considerate and always mindful of not wanting to be a burden to anyone, a testament to her gracious spirit. Her love for word puzzles kept her mind sharp, and moments of relaxation often found her enjoying her favorite show, Family Feud with Steve Harvey.

Lorine's grandchildren were the light of her life, and she adored every chance she got to be with them. Her love for them was immeasurable, and her guidance and wisdom will continue to shape their lives for years to come. She nurtured her relationships with her grandchildren with the same loving care she brought to every aspect of her life.

The words that best describe Lorine are loving, gentle, and faith-filled. These attributes were the pillars of her existence and shone brightly through her actions and the way she treated others. Her ability to make everyone feel loved and valued was a rare gift that made her truly special.

Lorine was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ossie Dozier, as well as her seven siblings. Their guidance and love shaped her into the remarkable woman she became, and her reunion with them will be a comforting thought to those she has left behind.

The void left by her passing will be felt deeply, but the warmth of her memory will forever be a beacon of light for those who mourn her. Lorine's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, and she will be dearly missed by all.
