DOTHAN…Louie Paul Marchman, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday morning, February 15, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. He was 81.

            There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Marchman was born in Daleville and moved to the Grimes/Napier Field area at an early age. He was a graduate of Midland City High School and attended Wallace Community College where he received a certificate in Refrigeration.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era. Mr. Marchman was retired as the owner and operator of Marchman Equipment Company of Dothan.  He formerly lived in Dothan and Webb before moving to Wesley Place on Honeysuckle in 2017. Mr. Marchman was preceded in death by his father, Louie Frank Marchman, his mother, Katherine Mullins Marchman, and his brother, Kenneth Marchman.

            Surviving relatives include mother of his children, Shelia Owens Marchman, Dothan, AL; two daughters, Dawn Marchman Thomas (Dennis), Pensacola, FL and Pam Marchman Ferguson (Jimmy), Dothan, AL; three sisters, Carolyn Downer, Webb, AL; Sue Etheridge, Clearwater, FL; and Gayle Kaye, Dothan AL; three grandchildren, Jennifer Ferguson, Bryan Thomas, Trevor Thomas; one great-grandchild, Kenzie Ferguson.
