CLAYTON...Louise Hartzog White, a resident of Lawton, Oklahoma, formerly of the Adams Chapel Church Community in Barbour County, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, in the Gregston’s Nursing & Rehab in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was 97.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 5, 2019, in the Adams Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Clyde Hancock, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services in the church fellowship hall. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams Chapel Cemetery Fund or Adams Chapel Building Fund, in c/o Bobbie Hartzog, 2865 Highway 131, Clayton, AL 36016.
Mrs. White was born in Midland City and reared in the Adams Chapel Community in Barbour County, daughter of the late Simon Timothy Hartzog, Sr. and Bannie Eugenia Gary Hartzog. She lived in Barbour County most of her adult lifetime before moving to Oklahoma in 2013. Mrs. White was a member of the Adams Chapel United Methodist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and loving mother. She was formerly employed by WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. In earlier years, she and her husband owned and operated White Electric and Well Supply in Eufaula. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ray White, and ten brothers and sisters.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Priscilla Sacks (Charles), Lawton, OK; her son, John Timothy White (Diane), Hoover, AL; a sister, Madge Eubanks, Eufaula; four grandchildren, Erin Leach (Michael), Aimee Carter (Westley), Elyse Hunt (Logan) and John Christopher White (fiancé, Zoya Zinger); five great-grandchildren, Kanan Leach, Lexia Carter, Charles Carter, Chloe Carter and Liam Hunt.
