LUCILE WILSON SPENCER
FT. GAINES, GEORGIA. . .Lucile Wilson Spencer, a resident of Ft. Gaines, Georgia, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her home. She was 78.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in the Judson Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 Wednesday in the church sanctuary.
Mrs. Spencer was a native of Eutaw, Alabama, daughter of the late Robert Wilson and Maggie Baines Wilson. She formerly lived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama before moving to Ft. Gaines in 1963. Mrs. Spencer was a member of the Ft. Gaines Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maurine Wilson and Annie Eatman and a brother, John Wilson.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Tryce Dow Spencer, Ft. Gaines; a daughter, Susan Cordell and husband, Johnny, Ft. Gaines; a son, Stephen Wayne Spencer and wife, Stephanie, Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Eunice Eatman, Tuscaloosa; and Bobbie Wilson, Eutaw, AL; four grandchildren, Brandon Turner and wife, Nicci, Jason Turner and wife, Dawn, Blake Spencer and wife, Kim, and Brandi Cordell; several step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.
