Lula Elouise “Weezie” Owens

 

Lula Elouise “Weezie” Owens, who loved to be called “Weezie” by her friends and family, departed her loving family on August 23, 2020 at SE Health.

Weezie was born October 12, 1945 in Westville, Fl to James “Monk” and Vera King. She retired from Wiregrass Hospital in Geneva after 27 years. 

Memorial services for Weezie will be held at Carmel Assembly at 4 pm Wednesday, August 26, 2020 visitation will be one-hour prior.  Flowers are accepted or donations in memory of Elouise Owens can be made to Carmel Assembly Missions Fund. 

Weezie is preceded in death by her parents and spouse James Neal Motley.  Survivors include her children, Starla (Patrick) Lusk of Enterprise, Scott (Tonya) Owens of Geneva, Natasha (Steve) Walker of Bonifay, two step sons Chris (Pam) Motley of Faydette, Matt (Ivy) Motley of Taylor.  Eight grandchildren Amanda(Justin) Colwell, Ft. Mitchell, Stephanie (Patrick) Hawkins, Bonifay, Fl, Morganne Lusk, Columbus, Ga, Jason Lusk, Enterprise, Tyler (Kaitlyn) Walker, Bonifay, Fl, Jasmine  Shiver (Hunter Odom), Geneva, Corwin (Haley) Shiver, Geneva, Matt Gaskins ,Enterprise, six great grandchildren Dylan Lorraine, Enterprise, Jaxon Hawkins, Branson Hawkins, Adalynn Hawkins, Bonifay, Fl, Sebastian Colwell, Ft. Mitchell, Khloe Shiver, Geneva, and was proudly awaiting the arrival of Ty Braxton Walker, in October, two sisters Wanda Jerkins, Geneva, Norma Jean O’Donnell (Mike), Leland, NC. Father of her children Robert Owens, Westville, Fl and a bonus sister Kathy (Billy) Peacock, Wicksburg and several nieces and nephews.
