LYNN BAREFIELD CLEMMONS
ECHO COMMUNITY…Lynn Barefield Clemmons, a resident of the Echo community, died Tuesday morning, June 26, 2012, at her home. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 28, 2012, in the Echo United Methodist Church with Dr. Al Harbour, Reverend Tom Skeen and Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in the Echo Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the sanctuary of the Echo United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mrs. Clemmons was born and reared in the Echo community, daughter of the late Barney Otis Barefield and Ila Mae Riley Barefield. She was a graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark and attended Troy University in Troy. Mrs. Clemmons lived in the Echo Community most of her lifetime. She was formerly employed by Flowers Hospital in Dothan and was a member of the Echo United Methodist Church. Mrs. Clemmons was preceded in death by a husband, Jerry Hunter and a son, Irvin Otis Hunter.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Ruben Sanchez; son, William Bradley (Brad) Hunter and wife, Caroline; her grandson, William Riley Hunter; her sister, Anita Ferguson and husband, Bill, all of the Echo community; two nieces, Sheri White (Jason), Erin Moore (Brandon); nephew, Billy Ferguson (Kim); three great- nieces and three great-nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Rocky Windham, Greg Tew, Alan Riley, Cooper Blair, Bobby Haddan, and Tim Tew.
