MABRON MIXON WOODHAM
CLOPTON…Mabron Mixon Woodham went home to be with the Lord, unexpectedly, in his home on January 3, 2024 in Clopton, Alabma, at the age of 70.
Mixon is survived by his children; Elizabeth Gold, Daphne Woodham, Blake Woodham, daughter-in-law Natasha Woodham, grandchildren; Alexis Gold, Addison Woodham, Bryce Norrie, MaryJane Messer, and Logan Woodham; sister, Annette Micheaux; mother of his children, Stacey Helms and former wife, Jane Armstrong.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward “Bo” Woodham, and mother, Elea Woodham.
Mixon was born on May 17, 1953 in Fort Gaines, GA to Edward and Elea Woodham. He graduated from Baker Hill High School in 1972.
Mixon married Stacey Helms, in November of 1978. Over four years time, the couple welcomed three children into their home. His children remember him as a caring, adventurous father who took them camping, fishing, and on many great escapades.
Mixon later married Jane Armstong of Headland, Alabama. They were together 18 years and lived in Midland City, Alabama. Mixon worked for the City of Dothan, where he made many lasting friendships and retired in 2015.
Mixon was a quick witted, kind, loving individual. He loved his family dearly, and was passionate about the weather, Alabama football and the farm where he grew up.
A casual celebration of life service is scheduled for Saturday, February 10 from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. CST at The Red Barn located at 3826 US Hwy 231, Brundridge, Alabama 36010. Food and fellowship will take place between 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. CST. A short gravesite burial will follow at the family farm. Mixon’s children will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mixon’s life. In lieu of flowers, feel free to bring your favorite dish to share at the celebration of life service.
