Mae Ann Adkins Snell peacefully joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
Ann was born September 9, 1944 in Dothan, AL to J. G. (Pete) and Clara Adkins. She was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Unity Sunday School Class.
Ann is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Joe Snell. Ann and Joe doted on one another and were each other’s champions throughout their marriage. Ann will be missed greatly on this side of heaven by all who loved her, though maybe most deeply by her sweet puppy, Lola.
In addition to her husband Joe, Ann is survived by sisters-in-law, Joy Childers and Judy Trawick; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Jane) Snell; special aunts Doris Adkins, Evelyn Adkins, and Evelyn White; a special uncle, Billy Adkins; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Adkins, Don Clements, Frankie Jackson, Ashley Childers, Richard Murphy, and Paul White.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating and Sunset Memorial Park directing. The family respectfully requests that masks be worn and social distancing guidelines be followed.
In lieu of flowers, please give generously to the Bethel Christian Academy, 3257 E. Cottonwood Rd., Dothan, AL 36301 and/or to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/shc
