Patricia Annie Riley Griffin of Hilton, GA passed away surrounded by her family on Friday August 11, 2023 at the age of eight-seven.
There will be a visitation on Monday August 14, 2023 at Beulah Baptist Church Cedar Springs Georgia from 10am-11am. There will be a service at 11am also at Beulah Baptist Church with burial in Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Royce Horne and Ricky Carrol officiating Mekenzie Wilbourn sharing . The active pall bears will be Jason Wilbourn, Patrick Willbourn, Phillip Wilbourn, Shelly McCorkle, Gary Riley, Jerry Tiner, Eddie Riley and Ashley Watts, honorary pall bears are Jimmy Weaver, Sterling McCorkle, Jay Odom, Mark Snellgrove, Adam Raines, Chris Payne, Shaun Chambless, and Casey Wyrick.
Patricia Annie Riley Griffin was born on August 16, 1935 in Blakely Georgia to the late William Mason Riley and Ollie Mae Golden.
Shortly after her marriage to the late Sidney McCorkle they established a home in Bartow, FL. When her husband died Patricia returned with her children to Columbia, AL and became a cosmetologist for many years. She continued work as a beautician late her life as owner and operator of Klassy Klippers Beauty Salon in Cairo, GA.
Patricia is survived 4 daughters Dr. Shelia Tiner (Jerry) Blakely, Ga, Teresa Lawson, Blakely, GA, Denise Snellgrove (Mark) Dothan, AL, Melanie Daniel (Jeff) Blakely, GA. grandchildren- Shaun Chambless, Shelly McCorkle (Tara), Gavin Chambless, Patrick Wilbourn (Ivy), Phillip Wilbourn (Morgan), Jerry Tiner Jr., Adam Raines (Danica), Jason Wilbourn (Samantha), Thad McGowan (Vernonia), 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, one sister Shirley Stokes, and a very special friend Connie Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Sidney Aubrey McCorkle, one son Sidney Aubrey McCorkle jr., four brothers Eldrige Riley, Rudolph Riley, Charles "Red" Riley, Tom Riley, and one sister Dixie White.
