HEADLAND…Marcie Gail Thompson, a resident of Headland, died early Saturday morning, August 8, 2020, at her home. She was 53.

     Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 10, 2020, in Gardens of Memory with Reverend Tom Chestnut officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. Monday at the mortuary in Headland. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations in charge of arrangements.  

     Marcie was born in Wetumpka and lived her early life in Eufaula. She was a 1984 graduate of Eufaula High School and attended college and studied Marine Biology. She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for Hill Transcription in Dothan. Marcie had a very special love for her grandchildren and was of the Baptist Faith.

     Survivors include her husband, Taft Thompson; a son, Travis Thompson (Katherine); parents, James and Harriet Callaway Bryson; a sister, Candice Bryson; brother, Darrell Bryson (Sherry); 3 grandchildren, Kyleigh Thompson, Emily Price and Aubrey Price, all of Headland; and a special niece Kirsti Price.
