A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 22nd at 2:00 pm at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan, AL, with Reverend Doug Mays officiating. Dress is casual, with bright and joyful colors preferred over traditional mourning attire. Margaret Anne Jones met Jesus on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 69 after an extended illness. She was beloved and adored by her husband, her two daughters and three grandchildren. The epitome of faith and strength, she loved serving God and serving others above all else.
Anne was born on June 30, 1952 in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Eugene Robert Daughtry, Sr. and Nellie Ruth Daughtry. She later moved with her family to Blakely, Georgia, where she attended Early County High School, graduating in 1970. Anne married Fred Allan Jones on June 13, 1970. Together they continued to reside in Blakely where she worked as a bookkeeper and they raised their children.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Roy Daughtry.
She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Allan Jones; daughters Christie Armstrong (Ben) and Kim Rogers (Reed) both of Dothan, AL; her three grandchildren, Claire Armstrong, Benjamin Jones and Caroline Rogers; her siblings, Pam Hodges of Baton Rouge, LA, Bob Daughtry of Iron City, Ga and Jerry Daughtry of Blakely, Ga; several nieces and nephews and extended family members; and her dear and beloved friend, Linda Tinson.
