Margaret Helen Mills Knight 

 

Helen Knight age 89 of Ashford passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Marianna.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, 2 p.m. at Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashford with Brother Jerry Nelson officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.  

 

Helen was born July 21, 1934 in Webb, Alabama to Newmon D. Mills and 
Nettie B Clark Mills.  She worked as Branch Manager of Regions Bank for many years.  She was an avid member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church since the young age of 8.  She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She liked to watch Alabama Football.  She was also known for keeping a spotless home.  

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37years George Burl Knight; grandson Christopher George Knight.

 

Survivors include her sons, George Kinkaid Knight, Clint Kelton Knight; granddaughter Jessica Nicole Francis (Nick); great grandchildren Wyatt Slade Francis, Jacquelyn Alyse Francis; brother Gene Mills (Connie); sister Brenda Mills Hardy (Phil).
