A tap dancer on Broadway in the 40’s and a spitfire to the end Peggy was born June 24, 1922 in Pleasantville, New Jersey. She met her husband James Drury Flowers while performing at a benefit during the war for the US Officers Club. They married and Peggy made Dothan AL her home for 70 years where she raised their three children. The family made many fond memories during the summers they spent sifting for sand dollars and swimming behind the jetties in Panama City, FL. She was known as Grandmommy to 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with whom she “shuffled off to Buffalo” well into her 90’s.
