MARIAM EVERRITT WILLIAMS
DOTHAN…Mariam Bond Everritt Williams, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday evening, July 16, 2013, at the home of her daughter. She was 75.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, July 18, 2013, in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church, Dothan, with Elder Paul Evans and Elder Clayton Nowell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL 36303, or to Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Birdie Bond, 6132 County Road 12, Headland, AL 36345.
Mrs. Williams was born and reared in Henry County, near Tumbleton, daughter of the late Leslie O’ Britten Bond and Beatrice Shelley Bond. She moved to Dothan in 1972. Mrs. Williams retired as a hairdresser with Nelson’s Magic Touch in Dothan and was a faithful member of the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church for forty years. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years, Thomas A. Everritt, and husband of five years, Elder Glen Williams, and also a brother, Billy K. Bond.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Martha Everritt Evans and husband, Paul, Headland; a sister, Gloria Jean Sheppard, Grimes; two brothers, Sam Bond and wife, Myrna; Charles Bond and wife, Charlotte, all of Dothan; a sister-in-law, Ilene Bond, Hinesville, GA; three grandchildren, Brittney Wines (Morgan); Sabrina McGee (Samuel); and Christopher Grimes (Cristy).
Serving as active pallbearers will be Birdie Bond, Christopher Grimes, Samuel McGee, Morgan Wines, Kenneth Nowell and Royce Sellers.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Dunn, Dr. Ted Paulk and Sonya Snow for the loving care shown to Mrs. Williams and her family during her illness.
