Marie Gertrude Monahan Turner of Webb, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at the Henry County Nursing Home. She was 81.

 

Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Seale officiating.

 

Mrs. Turner was born March 19, 1930, in New York, NY; the daughter of the late John R. Monahan and Lillian Walters Monahan. She attended New Freedom Church in Webb, and was a loving wife and mother. She was a school bus driver, and loved crocheting. She loved all the patients at the nursing home.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents.

 

Survivors include her husband, James Turner of Abbeville; daughters, Patricia Ann Patterson and her husband, Butch of Andalusia; Janet Turner of Denver, CO; sister, Lillian Catunao of CA; brother, James Monahan of MASS; grandchildren, Robert, Tiffany, Jaymie, Rusty, many great-grandchildren, close cousins, Adel Schuttenberg, Jack Schuttenberg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
