MARILYNN ANN TURNER
ABBEVILLE… Marilynn Ann Turner, a resident of the Screamer Community near Abbeville, Alabama passed away at her home, Saturday afternoon, October 12, 2024, the same day she entered life here on earth, only to have the same birthday in Heaven. She was 78.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Judson Baptist Church with Reverend Brandon Turner officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Judson Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Turner was born at the Naval Air Station in Bermuda to the late John Cecil Malone and Jean Malone. She was a 1964 graduate of Trezevant High School in Memphis, Tennessee. She had previously lived in Phenix City, Alabama and Eufaula, Alabama before moving to the Screamer Community, near Abbeville, Alabama, forty-five years ago. She was a very active member of the Judson Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, James Michael Jones.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, Marvin Lamar Turner; her son, John Christopher Jones (Amy); her step-daughter, Sharon Turner Robinson (Greg); her grandchildren; Kendall Evans (Jacob), Kelsey Elliott, and Kasey Cox; and her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Evans.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Chris Turner, Wayne Shadell, Conner Turner, Greg Robinson, Kevin Watford, and Jason Turner.
