Mr. Marion “Mike” Mickle Hyman of Geneva, AL, a born native of Grimes County, TX, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law. He was 86.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL, with Pastor Stephen Hyman and Pastor Keith Ambrose officiating.
Mr. Hyman was born on August 26, 1934 to the late Michael H. and Anne Grupa Hyman. Mr. Hyman had previously lived in Houston, TX and Valdese, NC, having served in the US Army during the Berlin Crisis in 1961 as a Specialist E4. He spent his last days happy with his family cooking crawfish, telling old stories, riding his little red scooter, laughing, and simply enjoying his loved ones. Most of all, he was ready to go home to see Jesus and Stephen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Lee Hyman, three wives, Patricia, Betty and Mayme and one sister, Jo Ann Elizabeth Landry.
He is survived by two sons, Christopher Hyman (Glenda) and Joseph Hyman, both of Geneva, AL; grandchildren, Jessie Deshotel, Tracy Hyman Hebert (Kevin), Jo Ann Deshotel, Andrew Hyman, Julie Meyers all of LA, Brian Hyman, Ray Hyman (Kelly), Stephen Hyman, Susan Hyman and Norma Brand all of Geneva, AL, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and an extended other family and friends.
