Marjorie Ruth Hawley
Marjorie R. Hawley, of Dothan, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Henry County Nursing Home. She was 92.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing.
Additional graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Valley Cemetery in Drummond, Montana with Rev. Sally J. Ralston officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC, 28607.
Mrs. Hawley was born April 18, 1923 in Three Forks, Montana and lived the early years of her life in Hall and Drummond Montana. She lived through the depression and raised three children. She was an avid golfer and was a Worthy Matron in Easter Star in West Seattle, WA. Mrs. Hawley was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dothan.
She is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Gladys Barker Furman, her husband, Jack W. Hawley and three sisters.
Survivors include three children, Jackie Leland (Bruce) of Dayton, Ohio, Kathy Hawley (John Hall) of Seattle, WA and Michael Hawley (Tonisha) of Dothan; five grandchildren, Heather Dickerson (Kevin), Rick Maier (Heather), Mike Maier, Audrey Hawley and Alexandria Hawley; five great-grandchildren.
