MARK  EDWARD  ADAMS



ABBEVILLE. . .Mark Edward Adams, a resident of Abbeville, died Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2013, at his home. He was 55.


            Graveside services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, (County Road 22, between Headland and Columbia) with Reverend Mike Lee officiating and a eulogy to be given by a sister, Michelle Combs. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mark Edward Adams Fund, Mary A. Combs account, c/o AuburnBank, P.O. Drawer 3110, Auburn, AL 36831-3110.


            Mark Edward Adams was born in Ft. Gaines, Georgia and was reared in Columbus, Georgia and Headland. He attended Headland High School and moved to Henry County, near Abbeville, in 2007. He was employed by Jerry Blount Trucking as a truck driver. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Billy Edward Adams.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Patti S. Peterson, Abbeville; his mother, Glenda Faye Chambers Bond (Rick), Monroe, GA; a step-daughter, Grace Marie Peterson, Orlando, FL; three sisters, Janet Sims (Steve), Buckeye, AZ; Lora Adams, Covington, GA; and Michelle Combs (Lenoye), Waverly, AL; a brother, Les Adams, Porterdale, GA; ten nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and great-nephews including, Laney Combs and Dakota Stewart.
