HEADLAND. . .Marvell Adams Armstrong, a resident of Headland, died early Friday afternoon, March 4, 2022, in the Henry County Health & Rehab Facility in Abbeville. She was 83
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday March 7, 2022, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Zion Free Will Baptist Church “Building Fund”, 9716 County Road 99, Headland, AL 36345.
Mrs. Armstrong was a native of the Blackwood Community, near Headland, daughter of the late Elbert Adams and Meadie Ethel Smothers Adams. She lived in Houston County before moving to Headland in 1982. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the New Zion Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Armstrong, five brothers, Milton Adams, Rance Adams, Billy Jack Adams, Clifton Adams and Halton Adams
Surviving relatives include her husband, Jack Armstrong, two sons, Rodney Armstrong (Trina), Dothan; and Randy Armstrong (Tammy), Newville; five grandchildren, Chris Armstong, Brent Armstrong (Lindsey), Ellana Newsome (Norman), Brad Armstrong (Kaylee), Sherri Hunt (Jeremy) and Wendi Rogel (Hector), several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Inez Hoar (Jerry), Ozark; and Shirley Davis, Abbeville; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Adams, Blackwood Community, several nieces and nephews.
