Mary “Alice” Crysel

Mary “Alice” Crysel, a resident of Geneva County, AL passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was 72.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00 am in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.p>

Alice was born on June 25, 1949 in Geneva, Alabama to Wilmer and Annis Fountain Hollinghead. She moved to Florida and lived the early years of her life there. Alice attended Geneva High School. She moved to Dothan in 1984 and worked at Old Mill Restaurant until she had to medically retire. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, playing bingo and working in her yards.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Annis Hollinghead; her husband, Paul Crysel; her sons, Robert Dean Murry and Kenneth Dawayne Murry; and her brothers, Wilford Hollinghead and Wintford Hollinghead.

Survivors include her children, William (Paula) Murry, Tony (Heidi) Crysel and Christina Brown; her grandchildren, Jacob (Sarah) Murry, Dustin (TJ) Crysel, Ciera Ward, Christopher (Ashley) Murry, Tony Cardona, Amber Cogburn, Dustin (Lesley) Cogburn and Colby Tedders; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Sue Cooper; special nieces, Priscilla Edwards and Patsy Torres; and several nieces and nephews.
