Mrs. Mary Alice Hall Cushing of Samson, Alabama passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, in Tampa, Florida. She was 67.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Elbert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Leddon Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 9, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Cushing was born August 14, 1947, in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Johnny Ray and Blondell Crews Hall. She enjoyed staying home, being a homemaker, taking care of her family and relaxing watching television. Mrs. Mary Alice was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Harold Cushing, and a great-grandson, Nacomah Jones, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons: Jimmy Ray (Angela) Wilson of Ponce de Leon, FL and Dewayne (Alice) Cushing of Winter Haven, FL; three grandchildren: Robby and Jessica Cushing both of Winter Haven, FL and Timra (Josh) Miller of Ponce de Leon, FL; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy Moody of Opp, AL and Kay Smith of Florala, AL; other extended family and friends.
