MARY ANN BOND
NEWVILLE…Mary Ann Bond, a resident of Newville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday night late, May 11, 2021, at a Dothan hospital. She was 76.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 14, 2021, at Union Springs Baptist Church in Newville, Alabama with Pastor Henry Fullington officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pastor Jim Cordes officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the church, before the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Bond was born in Pinckard, Alabama to the late Jesse O’Grady Windham and Beramae Sellers Windham. She lived most of her life in the Newville, Alabama area. She retired from West Point Pepperell (West Point Stevens) in Abbeville, Alabama. After her retirement, she worked with all of the assisted living facilities in Henry County, as their cook (cooking was her passion).
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dirk Wayne Bond; and a brother, Rex Windham.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her daughter, Jana Murray (Keith); her sons, Alan Bond (Tiffany) and Heath Bond; her sister, Shirley Whitehead, all of Newville, AL; her brother Robert Windham (Diane) of Dothan, AL; a sister-in-law, Gayle Rhodes of Headland, AL; her grandchildren, Blake Murray (Sandi), Brooke Cox (James), Brittany Craft (Don), Anna Bush (Matthew) and Megan Bond; and six great-grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Blake Murray, James Cox, Matthew Bush, Don Craft, Keith Whitehead, and Gene Arnold.
