Mary B. Grubbs, 83, of Daleville, Alabama, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Jim Peters officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Grubbs was born February 4, 1932 in Mississippi where she lived the early years of her life. She was a resident of Daleville for the past 40 years and was a military wife for over 30 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, Sgt. Major (Ret) Dwight L. Grubbs, her parents, James and Amy Beard, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Morgan (Bill) of Griffin, GA and Donna Blair of Daleville; sons, Jim Grubbs (Patty) of Tuscaloosa and John Grubbs (Wanda) of Daleville; 7 grandchildren, Ben Morgan (Kerry), Robin Grubbs, Chris Morgan, Donnete Klein (Fred), David Grubbs (Ashley), Bruce Blair (Amanda) and Angela Hataway (Dale); 9 great grandchildren; also surviving are 2 special cousins, Laura Lee Dixon and Peggy Martin, both of Mississippi; a beloved pet, Toby.
