MARY  BELL  WILLIAMS


 


DOTHAN. . .Mary Bell Floyd Williams, a resident of Dothan, died unexpectedly early Saturday evening, September 27, 2014, in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital. She was 72.


            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, in the Gordon City Cemetery with Reverend Ray S. Reiley officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary in Headland.   


            Mrs. Williams was born and reared in Columbia, daughter of the late Lathan Arthur Floyd and Ethel Brackins Floyd. She lived in Dothan most of her adult lifetime. Mrs. Williams was retired from the Southeast Alabama Gas District as a Customer Service Representative. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Williams, a daughter, Susie Williams, a son, Billy Williams, two brothers, Charles Brackins and Arthur Floyd.


            Surviving relatives include three daughters, Mary Ellen Batchelor (Jerry), LaGrange, GA; Lizzie Rabon (Ted), Webb; and Jeannie Adams (Ted), Rehobeth; a brother, Walter Floyd (Janice), Blakely, GA; and a sister-in-law, Linda Moring Floyd, Abbeville; six grandchildren, Bryan Batchelor (Whitney), Matt Batchelor (Niki), Chris Rabon, Scott Rabon (Emily), Caitlin Tew (Eric), and Shelby Creel; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
