Mary Dean Williams, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 20, 2023, following an extended illness. She was 78 years old.
Mary was born on May 3, 1944 in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Coleman and Mary Tucker Smith. She has lived there her entire life. Mary grew up living across the street from the love of her life, John L. Williams. They were married at a young age and to their union they have seven wonderful children. Mary was a faithful Christian woman, always happy to share the Word of God with anyone who needed to hear it. She loved the jail ministry and was an Elder at Glory to Him Church in Ozark, winning many souls for the Kingdom of God. Mary’s love of cooking was very evident if you ever had the opportunity to taste her banana pudding or one of her casseroles. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending any time she could with them.
Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, George Smith and Charles “Mott” Smith.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 59 years, John L. Williams; her five sons, John Curby Williams, Rodney Williams, Patrick Williams, Randy (Tameka) Williams, and Jason Williams; her two daughters, Dana (Andre) Knight and Elinea Williams; her 14 grandchildren; her 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Jonni (Doug) Marmion; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
“In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths”. Proverbs 3:6.
