Mary Dean McCullough, 68, a resident of Dothan passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Extendicare Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Orlando Grimsley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCullough was born December 10, 1946 in Barbour County, Alabama and lived the early part of her life in Baker Hill, Alabama and graduated from T.V. McCoo High School in 1964. She attended Chauncey Sparks College where she received her LPN Degree. She was employed with Southeast Alabama Medical Center and Dothan Dialysis, Inc. until her retirement in 2007. She was a seamstress and enjoyed making clothes and drapery and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Nora Hicks.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 39 years, Willie J. McCullough; her loving daughter, Holley D. Brock; grandchildren, Kameron Brock and MeKhiron Brock; her father and mother-in-law, Willie and Mary McCullough; sisters, Lenora Turner and Brenda Mitchell; special caregiver and sister-in-law, Ethel Davis; a cousin, Mary C. Thomas; a god-daughter, Nina Fryer; an aunt, Cherry Craddock; nephews, Derrick Mitchell, Brian Turner, and Kevin Turner; a host of other relatives and friends.
