Mary Delores Mercer Mullins, a resident of Dothan, passed away at her residence on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was 74 years old.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 am.
Delores was born on February 22, 1948 in Houston County and resided in Dothan all her life. She was a 1966 graduate of Dothan High School and retired from Dothan City Schools after 25 years and 10 months of dedicated service. She worked the Concession Stands in Rehobeth for 6 plus years. Delores loved spending time doing anything her children or grandchildren were doing. She loved watching their baseball games and cheering them on at the go-kart races.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, L. A. Mercer and Grace Mercer, and by her grandson, Christian Mullins.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Lofton Mullins; her three daughters, Dawn (Perry) Boin, Hope (Michael) Dyson, and Miranda (Neal) Ball; her five grandchildren, Alex (Ashley) Boin of Statesville, NC, Justin (Taylor) Herring of Ashford, AL, Meredith Herring of Dothan, AL, Karleigh Dyson of Ashford, AL, and Levi Cantor of Dothan; her one great-grandson, Christian Grant Herring; and her best friend, Sandra Dixon.
