Mary Elizabeth Merriman Blair, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. She was 71.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Metcalf. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 pm on Friday, March 25, 2016.

Mrs. Blair was born in New Market, TN on January 28, 1945 and lived the early years of her life in Knoxville, TN. She resided in Midland City for the past 2 years. Mrs. Blair enjoyed traveling with her family and friends.

Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Billy Lee Merriman, a daughter, Tammy James, her grandchildren, Patsy James, Cindy James, Christy James, and Gary Chandler, her great-grandchildren, Cody Manuel, Gavin Manuel, and Christopher Manuel.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Leroy Blair; her 4 daughters, Karen Merriman, Tracy Chandler, Billie Jo Merriman and Jennifer Blair; her 6 grandchildren, Donnie Chandler, Jamie James, Stacy MacAloney, Donnell Chandler, Kaylie Owens, and Austin Owens; her 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, E. J. Warren.
