Mary Frances Brooks Manry, 84, known to all as Frannie, died Friday afternoon, June 12, 2015 in the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Al. Her funeral will be held Monday, June 15, 2015, at 2 P. M. in the First Baptist Church in Blakely, Ga. with Rev. Keith  Alderman and Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 until 9 PM at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. The pallbearers will be Bo Manry, Joe Williams, Ryan Johnson, Rodney Johnson, Tommy Manry, Scott Hester, Frank Sealy and Robin Harrison.


Frannie was born Sept. 18, 1930 in McDonough, Ga. to the late Rev. Gordon Lee Brooks and Irene Virginia Kendrick Brooks. She was a retired funeral director and a loving homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely, a Past Matron of the Blakely  Chapter # 282 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph   Thomas (J.T .) Manry, Jr. and her brother, Dr. Lamar J. Brooks.


Her survivors include 2 daughters: Ginnie M. Williams and husband Mike of Stevenson, AL, Susan Manry of Acworth, GA, a son: Steve Manry and his wife Lea Jean of Blakely, GA,  3 sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Brooks of Wilmington, NC, Barbara Manry of     Jarrettsville, MD and Carolyn Manry of Harlingen, TX. There are 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Blakely, P. O. Box 587, Blakely, Ga. 39823.
