Mary Frances Tucker


 


Mary Frances Tucker, resident of Dothan, died Sunday afternoon, October 30, 2011 at Flowers Hospital. She was 80.


 


Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Travis Free officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.


 


Mrs. Tucker was born June 30, 1931 in Tucker, Georgia to Glen and Lula Mae Bailey and lived the early years of her life there. She later moved to Dothan where lived for many years. Mrs. Tucker was employed as a bookkeeper at B.C. Moore’s for over 20 years. She was the oldest vendor at Sadie’s Flea Market having operated her booth for over 22 years.


 


She is predeceased by her husband, Harold W. Tucker who was a minister in the Wiregrass area for over 20 years.


 


Survivors include two sons, Harold w. Tucker, Jr. (Evelyn) of Dothan and Randy C. Tucker (Connie) of Webb; four grandchildren, Corey Tucker, Shane Tucker,  Adam Tucker and Alex Tucker; three great-grandchildren, Bryce Tucker, Stellan Tucker and Bradyn Tucker; special friends, Jim and Marlene Wheeler of Cottonwood.
