OZARK… Mary Elizabeth Flowers, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday afternoon, October 12, 2021, at her home. She was 70.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 18, 2021, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Freddie Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.


            Mrs. Flowers, daughter of the late Raymond Gilbardt and Delores Morris Gilbardt, was a native of Eufaula. She formerly lived in Ariton before moving to Ozark in 2010. Mrs. Flowers enjoyed being with and raising her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Gilbardt.


            Surviving relatives include her husband, Michael L Flowers, Ozark; three daughters, Jessica Flowers-Augerot, Laura Williams (David), all of Ozark; Rachel Senn (Kermit), Ariton; three sons, Raymond Johnson (Sharon), Dothan, Wayne Johnson, Miami, FL, and Timothy Johnson, Colquit, GA; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and four on the way.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Michael Johson, Dustin Thrasher, Todd Miller, David Williams, Little David Williams, Eric Sneed, and Alton Miller.
