MARY JANE SCOTT
ABBEVILLE. . .Mary Jane Cox Scott, a resident of Abbeville, died late Monday morning, April 14, 2014, in a Dothan hospital. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Brandon Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Scott was born and reared in Miami, daughter of the Harold Enos Cox and Ollie Bell Davis Cox. She moved to Abbeville in 1991 where she formerly owned and operated the Econo Mart Store. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Buchin, two brothers, Harold Cox, and Glen Cox, a niece, Mary Hall, and a nephew, Jimmy Chambers.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Ernest M. Scott, Abbeville; two daughters, Sharmen Holstun (John), Dothan; and Kelly Railey (Clayton Bennett), Abbeville; four sons, Tyson Scott (Patricia), Panama City; Mack Scott (Cathy), Ft. Lauderdale; Russell Scott and Wayne Scott, both of Abbeville; two sisters, Cathy Chambers (James), and Marilyn Hall (Danny), both of Abbeville; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Mack Scott, Wayne Scott, Mike Kozerski, Gage Scott, Clayton Bennett, and Rahalio Cisneros.
