Mary Lee Clemmons

Mary Lee Clemmons, a resident of Rehobeth, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, February 19, 2023. She was 74 years old.

A celebration of her life will be held at 7 pm on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home with Brother Steve Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Rehobeth Fire and Rescue, 235 Malvern Road, Rehobeth, AL 36301.

Mary was born on November 14, 1948 in Rehobeth and lived there all of her life. She was a 1967 graduate of Rehobeth High School and was employed with Warner’s for several years until she retired in 1995. Mary then graduated from Wallace Community College with a degree in Business Management and was employed with Houston County School System in the Transportation Department. Following her retirement in 2016, she very much enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t traveling, Mary loved to spend time watching crime and investigation shows on TV.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William Foy Harrison and Edna Muriel Harrison Hadden, by her son, Bill Clemmons, by her step-father, Levoid Hadden, and by her sisters, Mary Charlotte Harrison and Lisa Honea.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bobby Clemmons; her daughter, Amanda (Duane) Traywick; her son, Rick (Linda) Clemmons; her four grandchildren, Savannah Clemmons, Cassidy Clemmons (Kevin), and Peyton Lee and Piper Lee Traywick; her two great grandchildren, Chazz and Corbin; her sister, Marie Blount; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Cathy Jenkins.
