Celebrating the life of Mary Lee Murray at Harvest Church Dothan, Alabama Tuesday November 19, 2024 at 5pm. Mary Lee Murray was born January 23, 1951 to Ezell and Susan Scott in Centralia, Washington. Mary Lee (Scott) Murray was a graduate of Centralia High School class of 1969. She later became a paralegal and worked in that field for around 15 years until she was no longer able to work due to having multiple sclerosis. Mary Lee had two daughters Janet Anderson (David), and Julie Murray. She had three grandchildren Alex Anderson, Zach Anderson, and Orianna Murray. She had two brothers Allen Scott (Dana), Daniel Scott (Lorraine), and one sister Ann Leal (Steve). Mary Lee was preceded in death by her loving husband Mike Murray, and both parents Ezell and Susan Scott. Mary Lee’s passion was to tell everyone about Jesus and she and Mike led a group from Harvest Church nursing home ministry back in 2004. She was also involved with different organizations throughout her life, some leading others to know who Jesus is and other times working in crisis counseling. Mary Lee loved music, especially playing the piano at home and occasionally at church when she was younger. She loved to bake cookies, cakes, pies, and of course her world-famous fudge that Mike and Mary Lee would make during the holidays. She also loved to paint and was quite good at it. She loved listening to Christian music and having the opportunity to tell others about her Savior. One thing to know about Mary Lee is that she wanted to be a pilot and came very close to getting her license, but due to her MS she was unable to achieve that dream. Mary Lee Murray left this world on October 30, 2024. She had told so many people that she was just wanting to go home. She knew that this was just a temporary home, and that heaven is her eternal home. I am sure that she heard those words from Jesus saying “Well done good and faithful servant. Welcome home.”
“But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
