DOTHAN. . .Mary Lou Wood Phillips, a resident of Dothan, died Monday night, May 13, 2024, at her home. She was 64.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the Midland City Cemetery with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Mary Lou Phillips was born in Lake Wales, Florida and moved to Chancellor, Alabama as a teenager. She lived in Chancellor before moving to Dothan in 2014. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Phillips, her father, James Robert Wood, Sr. and a brother, Thomas Lee Wood.

            Surviving relatives include her mother, Emma Lou Dell Morrell Wood, Dothan; a brother, James Robert Wood, Jr. (Sylvia), Dothan; her aunts, Betty Davis, Louise Peterman and Sandra Mae Henderson, an uncle, Jame Ray Morrell, a niece, Jessica Garcia (Fausto), and a nephew, Joseph Vann; several cousins.
