Mary Louise Wallace, 84, of Enterprise, Alabama died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Greenhill Presbyterian Church in Enterprise with Pastor Dr. Dan McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, June 25, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Searcy Funeral Home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Greenhill Presbyterian Church, 735 E. Lee Street, Enterprise, AL 36330, Enterprise Altrusa Club or the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.
Born June 11, 1928 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Mary graduated from Lebanon High School in 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, LT. Colonel Robert Stanley Wallace, her brother Sonny Elliott and a sister, Marilyn Kinchen.
She loved life and the many friends and family that shared life with her. Mary was passionate about her children and always participated in their activities. She worked at the Federal Land Bank for over 19 years, meeting many good folks throughout the Wiregrass region, during her tenure there. She loved her bridge club, traveling with friends and the many people she associated with through her community involvement in groups such as the Altrusa Club, the Ft. Rucker’s Officers Wives Group and the Coffee County Republican Party. She will clearly be missed by all those that knew her.
Mary is survived by her children, William E. Wallace (Julia) of Montgomery, AL and Susan Graziano (Freddie) of Chester, NY and five grandchildren, Will Wallace, Cullen Wallace and Mori Wallace, Thomas Graziano and Courtney Graziano.
